Time: Anytime between 11am-2pm

Map

Nimbus is a large picnic area on Lake Natoma. After driving past the Ranger Station (there is a $10 day use fee for each vehicle), look for Berkeley-Haas flags/banners along the parking area to locate the Haas alumni group. If you have any difficulty locating us, feel free to call Mark Beckford, FTMBA 96, at 916-768-4003 or Vince Ma at 408-807-3198.

What to bring: Bring whatever meat you like to BBQ, a side-dish/appetizer to share, and whatever drinks you’d like to enjoy. There will be picnic tables but we recommend you bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for seating flexibility (and towels if your kids plan to get in the water).

Things to do: There is a long beach area with a shallow entry into the lake, perfect for wading and walking. The picnic area is mostly grass so there are areas to play frisbee, etc. For older kids and adults, you can rent paddle boats, kayaks and more at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center which is adjacent to the park. More info on rentals can be found here.

We will provide: BBQ’s, plates, cups and silverware, coolers with ice, and shade/cover.

No RSVP required.
